This document is the monthly report of Stanton Normal School in Jacksonville Florida for the month of December 1870. P. A. Williams in in charge of the
Normal class (high school to teaching elementary) She has 34 students. Celia E. Williams taught the 3rd intermediate class of 42 students. She was also the
superintendent (and the sister of Phila Williams.) Carrie M. Semple had the second intermediate class of 54 students. Carrie Semple would later move to St.
Augustine as a teacher there. Emaritta L. McClellan was the 1st intermediate teacher with 57 students. Lizzie M. Brigh(?) taught the Primary class with 64
students and Mary Still taught the 2nd Primary with 54 students.
There was a large Sunday school of 200 students with 14 teachers and a library of 100 books.
