Robert Murray Seriously Ill May 22, 1933 According to news received here, Robert Murray, who was for many years manager of Hotel Ponce de Leon of the Florida East Coast Hotel Company, is seriously ill in Rutland Hospital, Rutland, Vt. Mr. Murray retired from active service several years ago, and has been living at his country home near Rutland. He was manager of the Ponce de Leon hotel at St. Augustine, Fla., for 35 yearsand also had managed the Hotel Champlain at Bluff Point, N. Y., and the Clarendon Springs House at Clarendon Springs. Robert Murray Robert Murray was the manager of the Ponce de Leon for 35 years after Clarence Knott. He was from Vermont. He managed the Hotel Champlain at Bluff Point in New York and the Clarendon Springs House at Clarendon Springs. Robert Murray, 78, of Clarendon Springs, a retired hotel man, died here today. Fletcher Dies at Her Home Near Rutland, Vt. 11/17/33 According to news received here today, Mrs. George Fletcher died at 6 o’clock this morning at her residence at Clarendon Springs, near Rutland, Vermont. She had been in failing health for some time. Mrs. Fletcher was a sister of Robert Murray, for many years manager of Hotel Ponce de Leon, who died last spring. Mrs. Fletcher was a winder resident of St. Augustine for many seasons, making her home with her brother at the Ponce de Leon. She was a leader in the winder hotel and villa colony with numerous friends here. |
