This document is the result of a circular sent about family issues that may help the Pension department in future widow and children pension cases. In this
case this document becomes the issue of confusion. This document is also notorized.by J. W. Allen. The document states that he was married to Jane
Lancaster whose maiden name was Jane Nattiel. who married in 1858 by Rev. Aubril of the Catholic Church. He states that no records were kept of
colored marriages. He answere that he was "never previously" married. Jane died in March 1889 in Jacksonville, Fl. He never remarried since her death.
He only has one child living, John Lancaster who was born Dec. 25, 1859. No mention of Hester Jenkins or the marriage in October 30, 1867. Abram
Lancaster was a veteran of the 33rd USCT Company F.
