    DEMOCRATIC PRECINCT MEETING

Pursuant to notice the democracy of this precinct assembled on Saturday, the 17th at the City Hall for the purpose of
appointing delegates to the County Convention to be held in this City on Saturday, the 24th inst. The meeting was
organized by appointing Honorable Paul Arnau to the chair and G. A. Pacetti, Esq. requested to act as secretary.

On motion it was unaninmously carried that the meeting appoint 15 delegates when the following gentlemen were
chosen:

            B. Pacetti, sen.                                M. R. Andreu
            R. B. Canova                                   B. D. Ponce
            P.  Arnau                                         J. D. Usina
            George R. Fairbanks                      John Lott Phillips
            G. A. Pacetti                                    P. Weedman
            M. Nelligan                                       J. M. Gould
            A. D. Rogero                                    Alfonso Lopez
                                                                    F. J. Quincy

On motion, it was:

Resolved, that the delegates be instructed to recommend Madison or Lake City as the most convenient places for
holding a state convention.

Resolved, that the secretary notify the delegates of their appointment to meet at the City Hall at 7 o'clock p.m. as above
noted.

Resolved, that these proceedings be published in the St. Augustine Examiner.

There being no further business, the meeting then adjourned.
