He was enlisted by Captain William James of the 33 Regiment at Beaufort, S. C. on January 12, 1863
for a three year enlistment. He was born in St. Augustine and is 20 years old, 6'0" high light complexion,
blue eyes and black hair. When he enlisted he was a laborer. He was discharged from Hilton Head. All
three signatures were Jno F. Nuber for commanding company, surgeon, commanding the regiment. He
listed under all three signatures that he was the Surgeon. Sabe Nateel was a veteran of the 33rd USCT,
Company B.
