| Aug 4, 1821 Florida Gazette There are now in confinement in this City, four Negro men and a Negro woman said to be the property of Timothy Bernard, a citizen of the United States. Said Negroes were confined on the 17th July 1820, by the Spanish Authorities, and were by them transferred to the existing authorities on the cession of the Province. This is therefore, to give Notice, that the said Negroes will be sold at Public Sale, to pay expenses on the first Monday in October next, unless the owner or owners, or their legal representatives, shall appear and claim said Negroes previous to that day.
