This document is a baptism certificate for George Frederick Garvin the child of George Garvin and
Eliza Makan his mother. He was baptised by Rev. Edward Murphy at the St. Mary Star of the Sea,
Diocese of St. Augustine in Key West Florida on March 4, 1855. He was born February 1, 1855. His
sponsors were Ramon Steve and Clarinda Clark. The Rev. Felix Ghione certified the document on
March 15, 1893. The purpose of this document in the pension file was an attempt to get an additional
pension for the surviving spouse.  George Garvin was a veteran of 34th USCT Company A.
